SPORTS MASSAGE
Sports massage focuses on getting you inform for sport. Our massage therapists have had experience treating many elite athletes to weekend warriors from a variety of sporting codes. Sports massage is a massage technique that targets muscles and tendons typically overloaded by your chosen sport.
There are two types of sports massage, pre and post event.
Pre-event: focuses on avoidance of injury and overuse whilst encouraging optimal performance for a race, game or event.
Post-event: is to encourage post event toxins (lactic acid) and waste products out of the systems and begin the recovery process.
It is recommended to include a regular sports massage in your treatment or training regime.
